Wel helloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo strangers! Since I haven't been on here for awhile now [creating havoc, lol ] I just thought I'd drop in and say hello to everyone and hope you guys are all doing well??? So hello!! I am now at the 39,000 mile mark on my new scooter and have NOT had any issues with it. But on these hot days we've had around here as of late, this motor sure does make some heat, but nothing I can't handle.Unlike the Tbird [a water cooled 1600] this motor is an air cooled 1800 and definitely makes more heat, lol, especially in stop and go traffic on a hot day.But to date,I have no complaints about it.Oh ya! Since this machine is also belt driven, I've had no problems, what so ever, getting it right the first and every time, and in record time, when changing the rear tire, which is something I learned from working on the Triumph's belt drive. Even the dealerships that sell these machines seem to be having trouble figuring it out.So I just stand there and smile.lol After all,I'm just a customer and know nothing about belt drives.lol lol Anyways,I hope is everyone is doin well.Take care gang! Dave!!!

G'day old timer

As you no doubt hang around Indian forums these days, do you have any comment on a couple of reported steering head failures as they are apparently cast alloy not welded steel??

"39,000 mile mark on my new scooter". That's great. Even if I had the time, I'm probably not physically able to sit in the saddle that long.
I had a Road Glide before this, and it would cook me on days like today.
Are there pics of that Indian on here anywhere?

With the weather we are having I am riding all day long. I wake up late have coffee and around noon head to my brothers house have a few drinks and lose at horse shoes. After catching a slight buzz I relax, take a shower and head out to the pub. The bike is a dream, dose anything I want and gets me home safe.
I can say that this bird is special, as yours. Nothing better I would rather be doing, then saying goodnight

And I hope you guys are ALL doing well cause I kinda miss gettin my balls broken every time I used to post somethin on here!!!! However,I suspect nothing has changed. Dave!!!
